Tips for Korean learners

Unlike English, Korean is a high-context language.

So there's a lot of omission in the sentence, and if you don't omit it, the sentence becomes awkward.

This is especially noticeable when you make conversation.

Let's take the sentence above as an example

A 앤지는 게을러 - Angie is lazy
B 왜 (너는) 그렇게 생각해? - Why do you think so?
A (앤지는) 하루종일 게임만 해 - She plays games all day
B (앤지가) 게임 좀 할 수 있지 - She can play some games
A 그런가? - Is that so?
B 그래, (너는) 안 그랬던 것 처럼 말하지마 - Yes, don't say like you didn't

As you can see there is a tendency to omit subjects or objects for the information you mentioned or know

So it's always important to know contexts of conversations, and only a lot of practice and knowledges is the only way to improve it
